Award-Winning Wines

Over the years, our wines have received national and international awards and recognition. To name a few, Gambero Rosso called our Stringaio ’19 smooth and balanced, Guida Bio honored us with its 2023 Certificate of Excellence for our Altair 2020, Cabernet Franc 2019 and many others. Abroad, however, the renowned Falstaff magazine praised our Vermentino DOC 2022, while renowned wine critic James Suckling mentioned and awarded our Esse 2020 and Stringaio 2021 reds.

Our corks

For base and sparkling wines, we use Diam microgranular cork stoppers so as to avert "corkiness" problems. For reserve wines, such as Esse and Cabernet Franc, we use high quality single-petal corks only, individually verified and approved with the goal of making the percentage of corky smell less than 3%..

Vendemmia dell'uva

Our grapes

Each vine is processed separately from the same vine harvested in another parcel or vineyard. The estate technician and winemaker work together to determine the best time to harvest. Only after several careful tastings will the final mixes and cuts of each wine be determined. Constancy and rehearsals in the tastings decide the final cuts of each wine.

Our barrels

Our barrels used for aging are all French oak. We use steel vats with temperature control for vinification.

Our aging method

Base wines are aged in steel vats while reserve wines undergo passage in French oak of different tonnages and different toastings.

Our Cellar

The Montecarlo D.O.C. Wine Consortium, comprising generations of innovative winemakers, shines as a small wine capital. La Torre Wine Resort is committed to producing wines with the same passion as always but with an eye to the future, offering a carefully selected, niche offering that differs from traditional Tuscan winemaking. In addition, our grapes and production methods are organic, sustainable and vegan.
